Three early wins from the WellSpring 7 DAYS Phase 2 study, and what the research is already teaching us about struggle, stillness, and becoming.
We are in the middle of something.
Phase 2 of the WellSpring 7 DAYS community research study is still unfolding. The interviews are ongoing. The journals are being read. The manuscript is being written. And somewhere in a peer review queue, the findings from Phase 1 are waiting to find their first published home in the Journal of Wellness.
But research does not wait to matter. And neither do the people inside it.
Today, I want to share three initial findings from Phase 2 — not polished conclusions, not final claims, but real signals that have already emerged from the data. Six participants. Three countries. Months of qualitative engagement. And what is coming through is something worth pausing to name.
These are our small wins. In science, small wins are how the big truths eventually arrive. Here are three of them.
WIN 1: Tiny Actions Are Actually Working
Across all six participants, spanning three countries — the United States, Nigeria, and the Philippines — the most consistently reported outcomes were gratitude practice and nervous system regulation. Participants are weaving these small, daily practices into their real lives: not perfectly, not linearly, but genuinely. The data confirms what the program always believed: you do not need a big life overhaul to shift your wellbeing. Tiny Actions, done with intention, create real change. The research says so. The participants lived it.
WIN 2: The Program Holds Space for People to Return
One participant went silent for 3 months and 16 days. No messages. No check-ins. Life had gotten hard. And then, on June 2 at 5:59 in the morning, he came back — not because he was reminded, not because he was followed up with, but because something inside him chose to return.
His message: "It's been a bit liberating. Especially for my creative process. Thank you. For everything."
This is one of the most powerful findings in the study. The program did not chase him. It simply remained a safe place to come back to. That is what relational safety looks like in community wellness. You are always welcome to begin again.
WIN 3: The Program Is Unlocking Creative Life
No one predicted this, and that is exactly what makes it a discovery worth celebrating. The research identified an emergent finding called Creative Flourishing: a participant reported that consistent engagement with WellSpring 7 DAYS practices freed something in his creative process. The calm he chose became a container for creativity he did not know was waiting.
This suggests the program's impact reaches beyond stress reduction and wellbeing scores into the deeper territory of who people are becoming — as artists, writers, thinkers, dreamers. The program is not just helping people feel better. It is helping them create.
One Sentence for Community Sharing
"The research confirms what you already know in your body: small daily practices, kept with grace and resumed with courage, do not just reduce stress; they unlock the life you were made to live."

Why Celebrating Wins Matters
Celebrating wins is not just a nice thing to do. It is liberating.
There is something that happens when a person — a participant, a researcher, a community member — finally pauses to recognize that their effort was not wasted. That underneath all the hard days and the silence and the slow seasons, something was quietly building. Power. Rootedness. The kind of inner strength that does not announce itself until the moment you need it most.
That is what this research keeps showing us. The wins are not always loud. They grow in the dark first. And when they surface, they become a living source of wellness, wellbeing, and the resilience to keep going — not despite the struggle, but through it.
Here is what I have come to believe, and what BE-calm means in this program: no amount of struggle can stop us from becoming who we were made to be, as long as we know how to return to stillness. Calm is not the absence of difficulty. It is the ground beneath it. And when we learn to find that ground, we stop asking if we are strong enough. We simply begin again.
A Closing Word from the Founder
Celebrating wins is liberating — not because it feels good, but because it makes visible the effort that felt invisible. All those days you kept going and no one saw. All those mornings you chose wellness when everything in you wanted to stop. Celebration does not create the win. It simply turns on the light so you can finally see what was already there.
Struggle builds power silently. That is one of the truths this research keeps confirming. Underneath every period of silence, every hard season, every moment of doubt — something is forming. Not loudly. Not quickly. But it is forming. And when it surfaces, it becomes the very source of wellness, wellbeing, and resilience that carries you forward. The struggle was never the end of the story. It was always the beginning of the next one.
This is what BE-calm First means at its core. Not the absence of struggle. Not the performance of peace. It is the practice of returning to stillness so that no amount of difficulty — no illness, no loss, no season of displacement — can stop you from becoming who you were made to be. When you know how to BE-calm, you do not need the struggle to be over before you begin to live fully. You begin anyway. And in that beginning, you become.
I say all of this from personal experience. WellSpring 7 DAYS did not begin as a research program. It began as a response to my own unraveling — illness, relocation, the long and disorienting work of rebuilding a life. Out of that season came a question: what if seven intentional days could shift something? That question became a protocol. The protocol became a program. The program drew a community. The community became a study. And the study is now on its way to becoming published science, shared with the world.
One unbroken arc. Every part of it real. None of it wasted.
If you are in the middle of your own struggle right now — if you are in the silence, in the slow season, wondering if any of it is adding up — I want to say this directly to you:
It is not wasted. Not one moment of it. The power is building. And it will surface.
