Part of Jumpstart July + Adaptability August: Reset and Renewal for our community.
This month’s theme — Jumpstart July, Resilience, Reset and Renewal, and Adaptability — did not stay on paper for me. It became personal. What I planned to share with this community as a monthly reflection began unfolding in my own life in real time, and I found myself living the message right before my eyes.
There were new environments to step into, new situations to navigate, and moments that asked more of me than comfort would have chosen. Yet in the middle of it, I could see God’s preparation. The very practices we have been reflecting on together were the ones I needed most, helping me stay grounded, keep resetting, keep renewing, and keep adapting.
So this week’s note comes from a real place. I am not only writing about resilience as a concept. I am writing as someone who has had to embrace change, process what is unfolding, and trust that even the stretching is part of becoming. What I keep learning is that resilience rarely arrives as one dramatic moment. More often, it grows through small faithful practices — a pause, a prayer, a grounded response, and a willingness to begin again without needing to have everything figured out at once.

The Invitation
That is what I hope this space can keep offering — not polished answers from a distance, but honest reflections, useful practices, and a sense that we are walking through growth together. As we move from Jumpstart July into Adaptability August, this is the invitation I am carrying with you: keep going gently. Trust what God is preparing in you. Receive each reset as part of your renewal. Let each new situation teach you something about your capacity to adapt.
