Hey beautiful WellSpring7DAYS Community 🌻
I just want to take a moment before you dive in — to say I see you. I see the effort you are putting in. I see the courage it takes to keep choosing wellness, even on the hard days. I see the faith behind every small step forward. And I want you to know: it is all counting.
This week, we explored joy together — not the picture-perfect kind, but the real, quiet, rooted kind that grows even in the middle of ordinary, messy, beautiful life. Seven days. Seven invitations. And you showed up for every single one of them.
That is not small. That is everything.
This newsletter is your Week One recap — full of warmth, reflection, and the kind of gentle truth that your heart needs to hear. Read it slowly. Let it breathe. And if something touches you, share it — because someone in your world needs this today.
You are not alone on this journey. We are going together, and I am so grateful you are here. 💛
Welcome to Week One of Joyful June — a month-long series on one of the most healing, human, and hopeful themes in wellbeing: Joy. I am Dino Ubalde, Clinical Psychologist and Founder of WellSpring7DAYS LivingLifeWELL, a community-based wellness program rooted in the science of nervous system regulation, faith, and the small daily choices that build a life of genuine flourishing.
Each week, our community journeys through seven days of intentional living — each day anchored to a specific wellbeing practice. This month, we are leaning into something beautifully simple and deeply powerful: not the kind of joy that waits for perfect circumstances, but the kind that grows quietly through small moments, faithful choices, and gentle acts of care. At WellSpring7DAYS LivingLifeWELL, we believe that a regulated nervous system is the foundation of true wellness, wellbeing, and resilience — and that joy is one of its most natural and healing pathways.
Here is a full reflection of every day from Week One, gathered together as one week of becoming. Whether you are a longtime community member or discovering WellSpring7DAYS for the first time — welcome. You belong here.
🌅 Soulful Sunday: Held. Becoming. Joyful.
We opened the week with a reminder that joy is a sacred source of strength. Even when the journey has not been easy, every quiet and faithful choice to keep going becomes part of our healing, our growth, and our becoming. When our nervous system feels held and safe, joy has room to grow — and when we choose faith over fear, we gently help our body shift from survival mode into a state of calm, trust, and openness.
Soulful Sunday invited us to pause and honor the bridges we have already crossed. It reminded us that hope can rise again — not through grand gestures, but through small moments of play, prayer, courage, and gratitude. Stillness, prayer, and intentional breathing are among the most powerful ways to gently signal safety to the nervous system. From that place of nervous system safety, healing, hope, resilience, and joy can rise again. With God's guidance, we are not alone. We are being held, restored, and led toward deeper peace, purpose, and joy.
Three Powerful Words: Held. Becoming. Joyful. 💛
Reflection: Where have you already come from? Honor that bridge today.
🧘 Mindful Monday: Pause. Play. Renew.
Monday brought a gentle but powerful permission: give yourself permission to play.
Play is not wasted time. It is a simple wellness practice that helps restore energy, soften stress, and support nervous system regulation. Even the smallest moments of lightness — a smile, a song, a laugh, a doodle, or a playful pause — can help us feel more present, connected, and renewed. Joy does not always arrive in big waves. Sometimes it shows up in a silly giggle or a five-minute dance break in the kitchen.
Three Powerful Words: Pause. Play. Renew.
Reflection: What small playful moment can help your spirit breathe today?
🙏 Thankful Tuesday: Pause. Notice. Give Thanks.
Tuesday brought a quiet but transformative practice: gratitude as a nervous system regulator.
Thankful Tuesday is a weekly invitation to slow down, look around, and notice the good that is already present — even in the midst of hard seasons. Research consistently shows that intentional gratitude practice shifts the brain and body out of threat response and into a state of calm, connection, and openness. When we pause to notice what we are thankful for, we gently signal to the nervous system that we are safe, that goodness exists, and that life holds more than our struggles. Gratitude does not minimize pain — it widens our vision so we can see beyond it. Even a single breath of genuine thankfulness can soften the body, settle the mind, and open the heart to joy.
Three Powerful Words: Pause. Notice. Give Thanks.
Reflection: What is one thing you are genuinely grateful for right now? Let it land. Let it fill you.
💧 Wellness Wednesday: Pause. Breathe. Restore.
Midweek, we were invited to stop and care for our whole selves — mind, body, and spirit.
Wellness Wednesday reminded us that we do not need a complete overhaul to feel better. We need one small act. A deep breath. A short walk. A glass of water. A moment of gratitude. These simple choices return us to ourselves — calmer, clearer, and more joyful than before.
This week's Wellness Wednesday also zoomed in on something important: the nervous system. When the body feels stressed or unsafe, joy can feel out of reach. But when we pause, soften, and create even a brief moment of safety, we make room for calm, presence, and renewed hope. Wellness does not always begin with big changes. It begins with one gentle breath, one grateful thought, one stretch, one song, one moment of connection.
Three Powerful Words: Pause. Breathe. Restore.
Reflection: What one small wellness choice can you make today to restore your energy? Choose one small joyful action and notice how your body responds.
🌱 Thriving Thursday: Pause. Align. Rise.
Thursday reminded us that thriving is not about doing everything. It is about choosing what matters and showing up for it with courage.
Thriving Thursday is a weekly invitation to slow down, check in with yourself, and choose one intentional action that supports nervous system regulation, growth, peace, purpose, and resilient wellbeing. When the nervous system is regulated, we think more clearly, connect more deeply, and rise more courageously. It guides us through three steps:
- Pause: Calm your mind and your nervous system.
- Align: Reconnect with your values, your purpose, and your priorities.
- Rise: Take one small, brave step forward.
Thriving is built through small deposits of courage, clarity, connection, and action. Every single deposit counts.
Power Thought: Thriving is built through small deposits of courage, clarity, connection, and action.
Reflection: What thriving currency will you invest today?
🎉 FUNTASTIC Friday: Find Your Small Joy
After a long or rough week, Friday reminded us: joy is still available to you.
FUNTASTIC Friday invited the WellSpring7DAYS Community to pause, imagine moments of fun, laughter, and connection, and let those simple joys bring hope, ease, and renewal to the day. Laughter, play, and genuine connection are not just enjoyable — they are powerful signals to the nervous system that we are safe, that we belong, and that life holds goodness. When we allow joy in, we help the body shift out of stress and restore its natural resilience. Sometimes the most radical thing we can do is allow ourselves to enjoy something — fully, without guilt, without rushing. Let laughter in. Let lightness land. You have earned your joy.
Permission granted: Go find your small joy today. 🎊
🏆 Super Saturday: Celebrate Your Small Wins
We closed the week by doing something we do not do nearly enough: celebrating ourselves.
Super Saturday invited the WellSpring7DAYS Community to pause, reflect, and honor the small wins of the week. It reminded us that joy is deeply connected to nervous system safety — when we slow down, breathe, and regulate, we become more able to notice what is good around us and within us.
The key message this week? Small wins are the currency of hope. Each small win is evidence that we are still moving forward, still healing, still growing, and still becoming.
Tiny Action: Write down one small win from the week and allow yourself to celebrate it.
Reflection: What small win deserves your celebration today?
